Resort Policies

I. Room Policies

A. Check-in/Check-out:

• Check-in Time: 4:00 PM
• Check-out Time: 11:00 AM
• Early Check-in/Late Check-out: Subject to availability and may incur an additional fee. Please contact the front desk in advance to arrange.
• Late Check-out Fee: Guests checking out after 11:00 AM without prior arrangement may be subject to a fee equivalent to a half-day or full-day room rate, depending on the departure time.

B. Reservations & Cancellations:

• Minimum Age: Guests must be 21 years of age to book a room.
• Guarantee: All reservations require full payment upfront at the time of booking.
• Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to your arrival date will receive a 100% refund of the room rate.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 50% refund of the room rate.
  • No-shows or cancellations made on the day of arrival will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Group reservations may have different cancellation policies, as outlined in their group contract.
• Modifications: Any changes to your reservation are subject to availability and may result in a rate adjustment. Modifications made less than 7 days prior to arrival may be subject to the 50% refund policy if the modification results in a reduction of the stay duration.
• Early Departure: There is no refund for early departures.

C. Occupancy:

• Maximum Occupancy: Each room type has a maximum occupancy limit. Exceeding this limit is not permitted and may result in additional charges or the need to book an additional room. Please inquire at the front desk regarding specific room occupancy.

D. Payments:

• Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and ACH payments for online reservations.
• No Incidental Charges: As we do not offer incidental services (e.g., mini-bar, room service), no additional charges will be incurred unless related to damages or policy violations (e.g., smoking fees), as outlined below.

E. Room Condition & Damages:

• Guests are responsible for any damage to their room or resort property caused by themselves or their guests. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to furniture, fixtures, linens, electronics, or excessive cleaning requirements beyond normal wear and tear.
• The cost of repair or replacement for any such damage will be charged to the credit card or bank account on file used for your reservation.
• Smoking in rooms will result in a minimum cleaning fee of $250.00 charged to the payment method on file.
• Tampering with smoke detectors or fire safety equipment is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate eviction and a fee charged to the payment method on file.

F. Quiet Hours:

• To ensure the comfort of all guests, quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During this time, please keep noise levels to a minimum in guest rooms and common areas.
• For the comfort and safety of all guests, parties or large gatherings are strictly prohibited in guest rooms. Occupancy limits are enforced. Any violation of this policy may result in eviction without refund.

G. Lost & Found:

• LakeWay Resort is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
• Items found on the premises will be held for 30 days. After this period, unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of. Shipping of lost and found items can be arranged at the guest’s expense.

II. Use of Facilities

A. General Conduct:

• Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards other guests, staff, and resort property.
• Disruptive behavior, excessive noise, or any actions that disturb the peace and comfort of other guests will not be tolerated and may result in eviction without refund.

B. Swimming Pool:

• Hours of Operation: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (subject to change due to maintenance or weather).
• No Lifeguard On Duty: Swim at your own risk.
• Children: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Safety: Please adhere to all posted pool rules. No diving, running, or rough play. Glass containers are prohibited in the pool area.
• Proper Attire: Appropriate swimwear is required.

C. Common Areas (Lobby, Lounges, Outdoor Spaces):

• Please keep common areas clean and tidy.
• Personal items should not be left unattended for extended periods.
• Commercial activities, solicitation, or unauthorized gatherings are not permitted.

D. Parking:

• Complimentary self-parking is available for registered guests.
• Parking is at your own risk. LakeWay Resort is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles or their contents.

E. Pets:

• LakeWay Resort does not allow pets in our nightly rentals. Only seasonal rentals may have pets.
• Service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed, but require documentation.

F. Smoking

• To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests, we ask that guests who smoke, do so in our designated smoking area in the gravel parking lot.
• We do not allow guests to smoke marijuana on resort property.

G. Outdoor Grill

• Only charcoal may be burned on the outdoor grills.

H. Boat Slips

• Guests renting boat slips are required to properly secure their vessels to prevent damage to their own boat, other watercraft, or resort property.
• LakeWay Resort assumes no responsibility for damage to or loss of boats or personal property docked in our slips, including but not limited to, damage from weather, theft, or actions of other guests.

III. Safety & Security

A. Fire Safety:

• Familiarize yourself with the fire escape routes located on the back of your room door.
• In case of fire, remain calm, activate the nearest fire alarm, and evacuate immediately via the stairwells.
• Report any fire or emergency to the front desk immediately.

B. Guest Security:

• Please keep your room door locked at all times.
• Report any suspicious activity to the front desk.
• Do not admit anyone to your room who you do not know. Resort staff will always identify themselves and have proper identification.

C. Prohibited Items:

• The following items are strictly prohibited on resort property:
  • Illegal drugs or substances.
  • Fireworks.
  • Flammable materials, hazardous chemicals, or anything that poses a safety risk.
  • Excessive noise-making devices.

IV. Environmental Responsibility

• Protect Our Lake & Surroundings: Please help us keep the lake and our grounds free of litter. Dispose of all waste, including fishing lines, food wrappers, bottles, and personal items, in the designated trash receptacles provided throughout the property.
• No Littering: Do not throw anything into the lake or leave trash on the shoreline, docks, or any natural areas.

V. Management Rights

• LakeWay Resort reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, and to evict guests who violate resort policies, local laws, or engage in disruptive behavior, without refund.
• Management reserves the right to enter guest rooms for maintenance, safety, or security purposes, with reasonable notice where possible. In emergencies, immediate entry may be necessary.
• Policies are subject to change without prior notice. The most current policies will be available at the front desk and on our website.
